I hate love songs, but I dig love gone wrong songs. What are some good ones?

Old 97's- The Other Shoe http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QbwsFBM-ybY

One old brown shoe falls in slow motion,
And the bedsprings hover right above your head,
As bed springs do, when you're beneath them.
Someone else just climbed into your bed.

By the time she thought you'd probably got to Phoenix,
She'd arranged for your shoes to be filled.
Well you've got your pride, and a blue-steel '45,
And you're waiting for the other shoe to fall.

You'll dig a double grave out in the meadow,
And you'll curse the rain that turns the dirt to mud.
You'll take I-35 south towards Laredo,
Then you'll try to find a doctor who can prescribe an elixir
That'll make everything better, except your late wife and her lover.

By the time she thought you'd probably got to Phoenix,
She'd sealed her fate and gotten herself killed.
Well you've got your pride, and a blue-steel '45,
And you're waiting for the other shoe to fall.

Guns N' Roses "Used to Love Her" isn't bad and isn't half as creepy as "One in a Million" so hey, it works!

"Goodbye Earl" is one of the rare female takes on the subject.

"Susie and Jeffrey" by Blondie. Sample lyric:
Quote:
Susie and Jeffrey, they're gonna get married
They're going for a blood test
Jeffrey said "Let's wait"
Sue took her foot off of the brake
He drove into a wall

That actually makes me kinda sad, but let me toss in the ur-murder ballad "Knoxville Girl," which has been recorded by Elvis Costello and Nick Cave, among others.

Its present version was first recorded in the 1920's, and dates back to the 19th century, but it has a direct lineage going back at least to Elizabethan times.

Jim White had a 'killed by your lover' song:
(can't find a video but search out that album 'Wrong Eyed Jesus', a Gothic Americana classic)

STABBED IN THE HEART
Upon awakening I find myself
Lying in some woods,
And for the longest time I've sat here,
Just trying to remember why
I feel like I am floating,
Why blood is running down my shirt
Then my memory returns to me
As the pain comes flooding;
Into my heart,
My baby she stabbed me in my heart.
Left me here to die,
My baby she stabbed me in my heart
And I know why...

I hear the sound of distant footsteps,
And I know that she is running
From that past which will pursue her
Until the day that she dies.
'Cause I know about her family,
And their crimes upon her body...
So I guess it wasn't me at all
That she was trying to kill...
When she drove that knife
Into my heart
My baby she stabbed me in my heart
Left me here to die
My baby she stabbed me in my heart
Really came as no surprise.

Over the hill there is a highway,
Now I hear a truck is stopping...
She's flagged somebody down
And asked 'em for a ride.
And I would try to follow her,
But I don't seem to be able
To lift this heavy body anymore,
As the light fails,
And the darkness falls
Into my heart
My baby she stabbed me in my heart
Left me here to die
My baby she stabbed me in my heart
So now I'll just, I'll just close my eyes
Close my eyes as the darkness falls
Into my heart
My baby she stabbed me in my heart
Into my heart
I'm falling, I'm falling, I'm falling...

Devo - Gut Feeling / Slap Your Mammy

SOMETHING ABOUT THE WAY YOU TASTE
MAKES ME WANT TO CLEAR MY THROAT
THERE'S A METHOD TO YOUR MOVEMENTS
THAT REALLY GETS MY GOAT
I LOOKED FOR SNIFFY LININGS
BUT YOU'RE ROTTEN TO THE CORE
I'VE HAD JUST ABOUT ALL I CAN TAKE
YOU KNOW I CAN'T TAKE IT NO MORE
GOT A GUT FEELING
CENTERED 'ROUND LONG TIME AGO
ON YOUR ABILITY TO TORMENT
THEN YOU TOOK YOUR TONGS OF LOVE
AND STRIPPED AWAY MY GARMENT
GOT A GUT FEELING

SLAP YOUR MAMMY DOWN
SLAP YOUR PAPPY DOWN AGAIN
OH MOVE IT UP AND DOWN NOW
OH MOVE IT ALL AROUND NOW

Damn, Justin beat me to it too, but then Electrichead would have beaten me to it as well. Poop. Here's an "I want to kill my beloved, but I'm goddamn paralyzed" song

Ruby Don't Take Your Love to Town by Kenny Rogers

You've painted up your lips
And rolled and curled your tinted hair
Ruby are you contemplating
Going out somewhere
The shadow on the wall
Tells me the sun is going down
Oh Ruby
Don't take your love to town

It wasn't me
That started that old crazy Asian war
But I was proud to go
And do my patriotic chore
And yes, it's true that
I'm not the man I used to be
Oh, Ruby I still need some company

Its hard to love a man
Whose legs are bent and paralysed
And the wants and the needs of a woman your age
Ruby I realize,
But it won't be long i've heard them say until I not around
Oh Ruby
Don't take your love to town

She's leaving now cause
I just heard the slamming of the door
The way I know I've heard it slam
100 times before
And if I could move I'd get my gun
And put her in the ground
Oh Ruby
Don't take your love to town

Oh Ruby for God's sake turn around

No joke, is there any song on that album that isn't about killing someone?
