Some interesting comments on the article. I can see why people can easily misunderstand the film but it's a little sad to see that after so many years people are still missing the point on this one. I don't see it as misogynistic at all, and always thought (as Joe Bob points out greatly
here) that it can be seen as quite an empowering movie.
I always preferred it to Last House (which has some similar themes, of course) and recent viewings of both films have shown that ISOYG has held up much better. It's a genuinely well crafted film.
