My computer is a bit old (Windows XP). It had the incredibly old and shitty Sonic Record Now dvd burning software pre-installed, but I dumped that.
I've tried Nero, didn't work. Tried various freeware burning software. Also unsuccessful.
Just tried the Joboshare MPEG to DVD Converter (only $22). After three attempts, my disc finally burned, but it won't play on the computer or home DVD player. It played fine on a Mac, so I think my actual drive is okay.
I'm so frustrated. I just want to burn some MPEG files (TV clips and the like) onto a DVD to watch on my big screen. Nothing seems to work. Could my DVD player be too old to read stuff? It has played homemade DVDs in the past, so I'm at loss.
Any suggestions for some simple DVD burning software? Nothing fancy, just something that actually works.
