Anyone into this band? Underground 80s group. I guess the term "atmospheric" is usually bandied about to describe them, as the band lacks "punch", yet the synths and drumming are suspenseful, alongside the 'ethereal' guitar effects. A band that sounds vaguely familiar, and should be comfortable to fans of post-rock, when considering their influence on modern groups. The band is at once entirely of its time, and outside of it. But if you appreciate Joy Division, New Order, or especially Liars, check them out.
EDIT: I'm reading over that paragraph, noting how I mention Liars, post-rock and Joy Division...perhaps I should say that, well, this isn't a difficult band to get into if you have some semblance of musical taste...towards the outer reaches of rock music.
