So are these guys going straight to video from here out?

It's about damn time. I think I heard about this movie like 3 years ago, and was wondering when it would get released on dvd. Good work Nick, keep spreading the Broken Lizard word.

There are dozens of us!! Dozens!!!

Technically speaking, this wasn't direct-to-video. Anchor Bay put it out in a handful of random markets like Cambridge, MA and Wauwatosa, WI in addition to New York and a few other non-Atlanta major cities.

But seeing as how even IF it floated our way, I'd probably be watching it in an empty theater anyway, I'm fine with catching it on home video.

All right, another person has learned to stop worrying and love Club Dread. Nick, feel free to join the other 4 of us in the human Pac-Man maze this weekend.

We saw Club Dread in an empty theater in Panama City, FL while we were on vacation for spring break, and I loved it. I can't wait for this to come out on DVD. I went to college with Erik Stolhanske's sister, and I usually end up telling her (via Facebook) about this stuff before her brother does.

Saw this at a packed house in Dallas, mainly because Chandrasekhar, Soter, and Stolhanske were gracious enough show up and introduce the movie beforehand. The entire crowd found it fucking hysterical, except this one lady that sat to the left of me. There's nothing worse than sitting next to an emotionless robot when seeing a comedy. She couldn't ruin another quality effort by the Broken Lizard guys, though. I'd place it second behind Super Troopers, personally.

It's amazing how well Club Dread holds up to repeat viewings. All of their films, actually, but that one really does seem like the best when you've spent some time with it. Definitely one of the best slasher film spoofs ever made.

Great news. Very happy to hear that.

I was disappointed to discover that this was not, in fact, a DVD retrospective on the career of Tim Salmon.

Timmy wouldn't have anything dedicated just to him - J.T. Snow, Darin Erstad and Jim Edmonds would all have to be included.

You forgot Garrett "Morris" Anderson!

It's good, but not great. Has a really cheapish, made for tv feel to it. Heffernan doesn't stand out at all, maybe because he took the directing reigns, but he's way underused.

Good cameos though. Lance Henriksen should do more comedy. And the blonde chick is fucking hot.

Feels like their 1st movie, not their 5th. Gonna chalk that up to Heffernan directing. Still found some funny moments, but hilarious? No way.

Eh, I think it has some inspired moments, but it really struggled to balance the tonal shifts of people being killed horribly with the jokes.

I still like it, but I understand why many people don't.

As far as The Slammin' Salmon, I thought it was pretty good. Those of you who say it feels like their first movie need to check out Puddle Cruiser - THAT is an amateurish effort. On first blush, I'd say TSS is probably about as good as Beerfest; the movie seemed to run out of steam a bit down the home stretch.

Maybe I'm just a fan of brunettes, but Cobie Smulders (Tara) has to be one of the most beautiful women I've seen in some time.
