Yeah, at first I thought it was all CG, but then it's obvious only Gorillaz are animated. The more I hear this song, the more I like it. Definitely a grower, more so than their other lead off singles.

Urb.com has a free MP3 of their "Superfast Jellyfish" featuring De La Soul and the lead singer of Super Furry Animals. Good shit. Seems like the video is clearly leading into that being the next single as they crash into the ocean at the end.

Anyone else pick up this album? Every time I listen to it I fall in love with a different song.

I really dig the whole thing. It's a concept album and it's jam-packed full of goodies. Stand-outs for me include: "Some Kind of Nature", "On Melancholy Hill", "Broken", "Rhinestone Eyes". Now that I think about it, there's only a couple tracks on the album that I DON'T like.

I love this new album. Standouts for me are "Rhinestone Eyes" and "Sweepstakes." Both of those tracks are divine, as is the rest of the album. The only track I'm not absolutely in love with is "Pirate Jet," I merely really like that one. On the whole, it's an album that, like Demon Days, backs up its ambitions with some awesome tunes.

A lot of people are saying that there aren't really any marketable singles on this album, but I think that we'll all be surprised. I really think "Rhinestone Eyes" is going to be this album's "DARE".

The word I can think of to describe the album is "effortless". It feels like there is a lot of thought put into each song, but they are so well made that you stop thinking about it and just enjoy it.

I was really wary of the Snoop Dogg track, and while his verse is only a slight diversion from his usual style, it works just great, especially when he starts singing along at the end.

Seems like a good album to me. Surprisingly ballad-heavy, but they're well written ballads so whatever.

Who'd have guessed back in the Parklife days that Albarn would end up having one of the most eclectic careers in pop?

Some of my favorite tracks are Rhinstone Eyes, Superfast Jellyfish, Sweepstakes, and On Melancholy Hill. But it's really and album that every time I've listened too it a different song stands out to me.

Haven't had too much of a chance to listen to this since I got it, but I'm really liking so far. Too early to pick favorites, but I really like Superfast Jellyfish (this may be the Del la Soul and Super Furry Animals fan in me talking).

Empire Ants is my fave by a longshot.

I'm in love with this. By the far the best Gorillaz album yet. Every song is great, and it just flows well, unlike the 2 before it.

EMI announced the the next 2 singles(and I'm guessing videos) will be Superfast Jellyfish and On Melancholy Hill(my personal favorite).

By the way, I'm done buying deluxe editions of albums. All this came with was a dvd with a half-hour doc on the making of the album. It was interesting, but not worth 22 damn dollars.

I haven't watched the entire making of documentary(might fix that tonight), but there was one point where Damon Albarn talks about the fact that most people now listen to music as a playlist. As a result, it's hard to get listeners to engage on one topic for more than a song or two, so he says something to the effect of making the album feel like you are listening to your iPod, and, in essence, keeping your attention by constantly shifting the music stylistically so you get the same feeling you would from listenting to your collection on shuffle. Getting people to listen to your album by making it not sound like a traditional album is a pretty cool idea.

The fact that he is able to pull this off while keeping the whole album feeling like a cohesive whole, and delivering some really great, catchy songs, is pretty impressive.
