Alex, I know you're rather calloused to these sort of things, but there was that dude that got STABBED THROUGH THE FOREHEAD right at the beginning. Things like that tend to get you a Red Band.

Oh come on, it was a tiny little trickle of blood. Carl Fredrikson hitting that guy with his walker produced more blood.

Everything I've seen from this movie so far makes me think it will be godawful. That trailer was like 30 seconds, half of which was basically just text with mood music, and I still barely finished it. Maybe the marketing is just bungling the teasers and trailers, but this looks much worse than Diary of the Dead (which was terrible.)

I'm keeping a "wait and see" attitude. The trailers themselves give off a SyFy sort of vibe, but maybe that's just the trailers. What has me interested is the premise, which I think is rich with potential and sounds a hell of a lot more promising than Diary (which I found wildly uneven and ultimately disappointing).

I'm still interested in seeing this. Romero needs to move on after this one, even though he's said he wants to do a new trilogy.

Looks pretty good to me. You can tell right away that the technical quality is well above DIARY.

And I liked the poignant plea for a JACK'S WIFE remake in the comments.

A lot of films have been hitting VOD before a theatrical release. Not sure why, seems like it would be shooting themselves in the foot, but I suppose people like the idea of seeing it at home before it even hits theaters. Sorta a private sneak peak.
