Best movie theatre in Atlanta?

So, I thought I'd ask this in here....my girlfriend and I are coming to Atlanta next weekend, and we are planning to go see Alice in Wonderland while there. If you guys had to recommend one theater to go see it at, where would you go? I know nothing about where to see movies in Atlanta at all.

i like the regal at atlantic station. Nice seats, big screens, free parking, places to eat close by.

Of course we do have an IMAX, but thats at the Mall of Ga, a little farther out.

The Plaza is great, but not where you go to see general release films.

I too love that place, but I don't think Alice might play there.

Atlantic Station is definitely the newest statest-of-the-artest theater in Atlanta, but The Atlantic Station area is a bleak, yuppie holocaust. Go to the Landmark Midtown. Alice in Wonderland probably won't be playing in 3D there, but it's a good theater with a number of great places to eat and drink in one compact center.

What Egg said. After you see the movie, walk two doors down to the Highlander for pub food. Then go over to Apres Diem for dessert. Then go upstairs to the Independent for pool or board games. When you get to the Independent, tap me on the shoulder and say hi, because I'll probably be sitting at the bar.

We're going to be staying out by the airport, but we'll be downtown pretty much all weekend going to museums and such.

Cool. Yeah, go for the Landmark. It has character (and beer, if that's a factor). If it's a nice day, you'll be right across the street from Piedmont Park. Go for a walk there during the day. Head South on Monroe, hang a left on Ponce, and you'll be very close to ZESTO, the best place around for a soft-serve cone or a shake.
