PS As a self professed 'normal person', I'm more than a little pissed that Ms Cyrus seems to think she's an athority on what I think or feel. I very much doubt a Disney Princess Millionairess would have the slightest clue what my life is like

Trust me when I say this: It's all an image. The Cyrus' were firmly middle class, heavily involved in Democratic politics on the state and national level in Kentucky and all this "homespun" redneck stuff is all image that was crafted by his record label early on. He didn't walk barefoot out of the mountains into Nashville. Hell, Cyrus went to college on an athletic scholarship.

As to his daughter? She's a kid and kid's say and do stupid things. If she's still saying shit like this when she's 30 I'll be the first to laugh at her. When I was 17, growing up in Kentucky, I smoked a lot of pot, listened to The Vandals and thought I was the smartest motherfucker in any room I walked into. I'd much rather torch her for her music than musings like these.

Yeah seriously, I doubt any of us would want the stupid shit we said and thought when we were 17 broadcast to an international audience. If she has half a brain in her head she'll be pretty embarrassed by stuff like this when she's older.
