Hank Chien.

Chien's score of 1,061,700 points, accumulated in just two-and-a-half hours, puts him a mere 11,500 points ahead of Mitchell's best recorded score, and 12,600 points ahead of Wiebe's -- essentially a difference of one successful barrel or fireball jump per screen.

Heard about this. Cool to hear! And from a guy who has a demanding job, nay, a career! Maybe they can make a documentary about him and have him unrealistically square off against one of his patients.

Aah, the magic of movies.

Anyone want to place bets on how soon this guy ends up dead at the hands of Mitchell?

Prediction 1) A new tape will surface showing a higher score.

Prediction 2) None of us will care.

Yeah, all the back and forth between Mitchell and Weibe post film has just made me realize I care a whole hell of a lot less about this outside the context of that documentary. Still, it's always nice to hear something happened that displeased Billy Mitchell.

Should a plastic surgeon be playing a video game that much?

"Sorry I slit that vital nerve Mr. Smith, I was up all night playing Kong, and my hand got a cramp."

My thoughts exactly.

I believe I remember a study done that says playing video games improves dexterity.

Here we go.

Laparoscopic surgeons who played video games were 27 percent faster at advanced surgical procedures, and made 37 percent fewer errors, compared to their non-gaming colleagues, the study found.

I think a barrel would be incorporated into the murder somehow, as well. Crushed by a barrel of hot sauce? Bludgeoned with a hammer and then sealed in a barrel of hot sauce?

Billy's gotta send a clear message to the next motherfucker who gets visions of kill screens...

I cared a lot less about the whole thing once I realised that during the whole of 'King Of Kong' Weibe is competing to beat his own high score, not Billy Mitchells. Though Mitchell is still an asshole, he has some creedence when he says the film makers were bullshitters. It takes a lot of the conflict out of the film when you see that Weibe is really just trying to beat his own score.

As bad as Mitchell was, Brian Kuh was probably the worst.

"There's a potential Donkey Kong kill screen coming up if you're interested"

Since the King of Kong documentary was so utterly 'produced,' I think it's fitting that they simply make a sequel where Mitchell and Wiebe must now team up temporarily to defeat a more powerful foe. Like Jerry and Newman forming an alliance.

Does the original Kong have a 2 player option?
If only the NES Battletoads was 3 players...

Then it would have been 3 times as difficult!
