More iTunes/iPod Bullshit

I don't use an iPod, and I use itunes as sparingly as possible. I'm trying to get a couple of albums over to my roommate, but she's got an iPod/iTunes, and all my stuff is in .mp3 format. How the hell do I make all of this work in the least headache-inducing way possible?

Ipods will take MP3 files. At least mine does.

I think she tried to drag and drop from the device (my Sansa) to iTunes. Is there a certain process or is she just doing it totally wrong?
It probably isn't liking importing shit from another portable device. I'd put the Sansa content on the computer's hard drive as an intermediary and then try to import them into iTunes.

Yeah Itunes hates other devices. Best bet is to plug your Sansa into the USB and then just copy and paste the files from the device by exploring it from MY COMPUTER.

That's the wrong way. Do it like Scott posted.

You are like my bulkier doppelgänger, I just exchanged a lot of music with my current roommate too. Now I just got a fix for Beck and Gorillaz among other things.

I had to set my Ipod to save everything in MP3 when I set it up (the second time). If you don't its a little bitch to do anything with.

Okay, gonna try the mediator PC thing.

Well, you can't even pull music off of an iPod onto iTunes, right? (Without downloading other software or workarounds, but just within the standard iTunes environment.)

It is protection so people don't share music like you are trying to do.

Or has iTunes changed since I last used it?

Burn her a mp3 disc. She should be able to import the tracks no problem. iTunes is a turd.
I don't personally own an Ipod either, iTunes being one of my major turn offs.. that and you know, not having money for one.
But yeah, since it always wants to sync up and look for new media, you should be able to get it from the Sansa, put it in a folder somewhere, I would assume with the other music somewhere, and then get iTunes to search for new media or something along that line.

I have both my iPod and iPhone set to where I can manually input music and videos into it. If you have it set to automatically sync, and you deleted stuff off of your computer, it deletes it off of your iPod! That really sucks. Glad I learned about that little trick. I used to be totally against iTunes/iPod, but now I really like it.

I still have my first MP3 player, which is coincidentally a Sansa as well.

Well I didn't know iPods had the option to turn that off, That makes me feel better about eventually buying an iPod Touch.
