Phish is playing Genesis as Phil Collins bobs his head politely. Welcome to Hell!

(At least it wasn't "Invisible Touch")

Iggy, fuck yeah!

God, only thing better would have been for him to jump from table to table kicking over the champagne.

(He made Bruuuuce uncomfortable haha)

Killer Jimmy Cliff performance of "Many Rivers To Cross" & "The Harder They Come"!

Jimmy Cliff was fantastic. He had all of the vocal range and all of the moves. I was highly impressed.

Great to hear. Big Jimmy Cliff fan. He's the man. I'm gonna have to seek that clip out.

It's worth it, Parker. He got a very sincere and well deserved standing ovation from the crowd.

Congratulations to Phil, Mike, Tony, Steve and Peter (not pictured)!

Did Gabriel show up?
No, he wasn't there. If I remember correctly, one of the others mentioned that he was committed to rehearsals for his upcoming tour and could not attend.

Nice to see The Hollies get some recogniton as well.

Speaking of the Hollies, I only caught the very end of their speech and watched all of their performance. Who was that goofy guy in the baseball jacket and cargo pants who was acting like a full retard? He came off like an old member of the band who got kicked out and decided to crash the party. I loved how they tried to ignore him when he grabbed the microphone on stage.

I think there has been something like 13 members of the band during its run. On the radio this morning they were talking about how there is another incarnation of them currently touring the UK.

Little Steven's induction speech was especially nice. Offset nausia-inducing one by Jackson Browne.

The song-writer tribute was a mixed bag, but it's always good to see Ronnie Spector--the world's sexiest grandma!

Well, they were pretty old geezers! I think he was just happy. I got a kick that half the group were in a current incarnation of the band and couldn't be there because they were touring, even if it is just the Oldies circuit. Rock on.

All teasing aside, Trey Anastasio made a rather brilliant case for Genesis. I want to give Selling England by the Pound a shot now.

Agreed 100%.

Also, were Barry and Robin Gibb drunk? Their introduction for ABBA was squirm-inducingly awkward.

Nice to see Steve Hackett there. I thought I heard that he wasn't going to show up.
