Saw movies belong on the worst list more for what they represent than the individual merits of each movie. Their offense is that they are shoddily made pieces of shit surviving on the promise of a new twist of gimmickry each installment and people eating it up and loving the shit out of them, all the while ignoring or outright hating much better movies. The saw movies hold a mirror to society and show us our neighbours are dumb fucks, and we already have Fox News for that.

I agree. But in this day and age, it seems anything with blood is chalked up to being horror. I saw someone attempt to argue Kill Bill was horror by virtue of its gore-quotient.

I'd like to use this space to complain about Troll 2's newfound popularity. I've hated that film since I was 9, making fun of it even when I was in 4th grade. And yet now with its giant laugh-at-it fanbase and shiny new documentary, whenever I tell someone Troll 2 is maybe the worst film I've ever seen, they shake their head, laugh, and agree. Like we're part of a group.

Fuck you, mustache man. I hated it first.

I find Troll 2 is nigh unwatchable unless I'm flanked by a group of friends. I just can't get through it alone.
