The print I saw of this was gorgeous.

Really effective little flick; feels like it could be made today. I can see why James Ellroy talks so highly of it, this thing has tortured sexuality out the ass, moreso than a lot of noirs. The use of the husband as a DJ is great. I have to confess I'd never seen Van Heflin in anything before this, but he was an angry, angry man.
