Ha! He didn't even try to play it off as something else. I never knew he had such OCD tendencies.

What a mess that man is.

Doesn't he have secret service agents he can wipe the Black People Germs on? Why go with Clinton?

PS I'm a huuuuge germophobe (got trapped in a public bathroom last year like DiCaprio in the AVIATOR) but even I would call that pretty disgraceful

EDIT: Don't forget that the current President has also called out GWB on his compulsive hand sanitizing

Hahahaha. A friend linked me that video this morning, but I didn't catch what he did on first watch. I wasn't given any context. Then I caught it. Smooooooth.

I couldn't believe it when I saw on a local newspaper. It would be outrageous even if it was done by Will Ferrel impersonating him.

Christ , what do you guys expect?! He's gotta get them Nigra Germs off him! He might get Teh A.I.D.S!

Just had to post this up, as the man's utter cluelessness continues to astound.

What was his big regret about Katrina?

The poor choice of photo op

More than five years after the fact, former President George W. Bush is admitting that having a photograph taken of him peering out the window of Air Force One at the Katrina-caused wreckage of New Orleans was a "huge mistake."

During an interview with NBC's Matt Lauer set to air next week, Bush had no qualms accepting that, with 20/20 hindsight, he would have approached the situation much differently to avoid appearing "detached and uncaring."
Yes, the real tragedy was the appearance of an uncaring, ignorant President

I like how Clinton does that half-head turn with a "...the fuck?" look on his face.

I hope we soon live in a world where there is a reality show covering these two traveling around the world together and sharing hotel rooms, and rental cars.

The short attention span/lack of giving a shit attitude of this nation is depressing.

This country is too stupid to have a functioning democracy.

It's moments like these (Bush's book tour) that make me wonder if the media doesn't secretly hate itself. Here you have a very controversial ex-president who is finally taking questions from the press and his only answer to some of the most pointed questions is "read the book." Fuck deference. This guy doesn't deserve any respect-- at least he deserves about as much respect as he's shown to my side of the political spectrum.

Germany and Britain are not amused about the falsehoods presented as facts in this book.

But it seems more important to get an exclusive rather than doing the job for what is considered "media".

I'm kinda looking forward to reading it in a car wreck king of way.

And of course, the Right is playing this whole thing like some kind of victory tour.

So what's the right's reaction to "America does not torture" in light of these shocking revelations that America does, in fact, torture?

That it's not torture when America does it, silly. I think they call it a 'freedom massage' or some such.

I swear, their heads are full of that sparkly greasy sand you find in etch-a-sketches. When they hear a fact that doesn't fit their twisted worldview, they give their head a shake and lo! The facts disappear. All better now!

Bush pretty much literally said, "My laywer said it was ok."

He's the gift that keeps on giving, isn't he?

Why does Matt Lauer want us to feel sorry for Dubya so bad? It's hilarious how dramatic he is with Kanye here considering the softball interview he gave Bush. He plays back the Bush interview and says "look at the pain in his face." He didn't ask Bush to look at pictures of bodies floating in New Orleans while he was talking about Katrina.
