I was very excited to see the American Reunion movie. I saw American Pie just after college and remembered it was quite funny.
Jim, Michelle, Oz, Heather, Stifler reunite for their high school...
I've yet to visit it, but the The Lost Boys and Killer Klowns From Outer Space both feature the Santa Cruz Boardwalk. I'll be sure to hit it up when summer rolls around.
The beach from, er, The Beach (smaller than it looks in the movie, but pretty stunning), and I've been round the island featured in The Man With The Golden Gun.
Also, loads of stuff from The Killing Fields, just to brighton everyone's day.
I've been to Shibuya in Tokyo. It's cross-walk has been filmed probably hundreds of times, though LOST IN TRANSLATION is the only one that comes off the top of my head.
I went camping (kinda) to New Hampshire this weekend with some friends and we visited Fun Spot, where they shot most of The King of Kong. I got chills just walking by the infamous Donkey Kong machine.
What we didn't realize at the time is that we were staying in the same cabin a lot of those nerds used during their stay for the Twin Galaxy championships in the movie. My friend sent me a YouTube link later (he watched the movie again when we came back from the weekend) and it has all those guys eating Dominoes, watching the tape that Billy Mitchell sends to Fun Spot in the cabin we stayed in (except they must have brought their own Ladybug Cabaret). IT was weird. I was sitting there, saying "I was just there!"
It was fun. Donkey Kong is a bitch of a game. Most of those guys have these hysterical framed pictures on the wall for various accomplishments.
