Anyone get Pigsy's Perfect 10? Disappointed with it. I thought the grappling hook hand would add some new gameplay but it just makes you run around looking for places to climb up, and hit a button when it appears on screen. Shooting's just ok. Definitely not worth the 10 bucks they're asking for, but maybe if it went on sale for a couple it'd be worth it.

Thanks for the warning Alex.  Of course, the thought of having to deal with Pigsy's 'humor' for any more time at all had completely put me off the thought of ever buying the DLC anyway.

Stomped this into submission racking up one of least stressful 1k scores in awhile. It's too bad this didn't sell all that well as Ninja Theory's really come to grow on me. In the midst of getting the Pigsy DLC now.

I know I'm late to the party on this one....but wow, I loved it. I know its not perfect. it's too easy. The camera really sucks at times (especially closer to the end), and becomes an unintentional foe to Monkey, but nothing could dissuade my love for this game. Maybe since coming on the heels of back to back disappointments in Dead Space 2 and Bulletstorm....but this really clicked with me. I thought the story was great, and just when I thought it was going off the rails at the end (and veering off into Assassin's Creed 2 territory), it pulled me right back in with the reveal of the truth.....and then it ends. Andy Serkis was absolutely great in this (didn't even know he was in this), and I found myslef slowly developing a weird crush on Trip.....which is pathetic. Anyways, pick this up on the cheap.

Andy Serkis not only played Monkey, he was the dramatic director for the motion capture/cutscenes.

Meh, it was alright for what it was but after being spoiled by the likes Devil May Cry and Bayonetta the melee combat in this was a complete slog.  Easy, repetitive, shallow.

Having grown up on action/adventure/platforming games the platforming aspect was really kinda insulting as well.  The only challenge comes when theres any sort of hazard that zaps your health or insta kills you.  The basic jumping and clambering is all automatic and without danger.

The only play aspect that was any sort of challenge were the run n gun n take cover bits, but I didn't buy this for some halfway decent 3rd person shooting.

I soon found myself suffering through the gameplay just to get the next nifty cutscene.  Those were really good.  I think Ninja Theory should get it out of their system and just make a performance capture film already and dispense with the "interactivity".  After 2 "games" the movie sequences are what they're good at.

This does not bode well for DmC, as if they're redesign of Dante wasn't already a strike against it.

In chapter 3 now. I sort of get the complaints (too easy) but I'm really enjoying my time with the game. I got it quite cheap (and new, so hopefully Ninja Theory gets some of my $'s).

This and Castlevania are two games that got less than stellar scores (eg. 85 ish on metacritic) but their strengths far outweigh the flaws.

Well, my biggest issue with the game was that I never really felt in control. It always felt like there was a bit of a disconnect between what I did and what happened on the screen.  I was just activating pre-generated scripts or animations.  Having played Heavenly Sword, I felt the combat in that was significantly tighter.

Finally finished. I was underwhelmed by the end, though glad I played it. There are moments where things came together (clambering about on the giant mech was fun) and it felt like a real game, but more often than not it felt like shallow versions of better games. I suppose the art direction and actors deserve the most credit.

The ending was fairly 'WTF' in that it seemed like a version of The Matrix where the computer thinks the Matrix is so awesome that it would best if everyone just lived there.
