that is totally cool shit right there. It's a shame the pictures aren't bigger so I could make them backgrounds.

Yeah, the first one is my favourite too. I wish I could have it as a giant poster on the ceiling over my bed.

Also, are there any photography buffs here who can tell me what kind of camera and/or lens you'd need to do that?

Wow what a great find, I'm surprised the creatures don't drown.

As for the camera I don't know what he uses, though I think the lens would more important than the type of camera body. The article says he is just millimeters away when he takes the photos so it must be some kind of extreme macro lens.
