NCAA Football '11

Goddammit, after I said I wouldn't come back until they changed up the gameplay, supposedly they are, along with upgrading the graphics.

They'll suck me in again this year, I'm sure. July is closer than you think.

The last version of this that I truly enjoyed was probably '05 or '06. It had just the right level of complexity and fun. And Vince Young. My god, running the option with Texas was SO fun.

The last few years have upped the complexity at the expense of fun, IMHO. I want to play football, not a JRPG. I liked the recruiting game fine in '06.

EDIT: The screenshots are impressive, but I'm not sold until I see what gameplay looks like and just how involved they've made recruiting

Will the latest version require a physics degree to utilize all the plays/moves? I love football games but their insane complexity these days just drives me insane. Do you really need controls that impact how your left outside tackle performs?

Last year's version was actually really good, with easy (for the Madden engine) controls and the great Road to Glory Mode. Bonus unintentional comedy value for having Erin Andrews host your highlight reels each week. Double bonus for having Herbstreet's throw it back to her by calling her nothing but "EA" and "Girl".

Between Erin Andrews in this game, MLB2k10 having Steve Phillips do commentary and a new Tiger Woods game on the horizon, we're in the golden age of players being able to make snide comments while playing!
