Arbitron raters

well It sounds like me and my wife are going to start as an Arbitron ratings family.

supposedly I'm getting this device that is a motion detector that I wear when I'm listening to the radio or watching tv. It captures the broadcast signals and reports back to some farway land. It's supposed to work on DVR shows too I think...

I'm getting paid to do this, so that's why I signed up.

My question to those who have done this...Is it worth it?

Is this a fancy way of saying that you've been placed under house arrest?

I did a few years of Arbitron radio ratings in Atlanta many moons ago and was picked randomly somehow. I had to fill out a survey and mail it back after a week or so. I got like $6 per survey.

It may be like house arrest in that I have this beeper looking device, but you can carry it anywhere and look like a dork.
