Ugly Americans

I searched and found no Thread for this yet, but I feel it needs one.

Have any of you caught this show yet?
It's by far in my top 5 now, and there's only been 4 episodes so far.
It feels like a cross between Super-Jail (what little I've seen) and Mission Hill.
It's basically about a guy Mark Lilly, who is a social worker in New York helping monsters and various demons integrate into society.
Everyone should be watching this show.
If you don't like it, Well Sir, Unfortunately your sense of humor has died.

Yeah, I'm really digging this show.

Here's the web series that inspired the show.

Love LOVE how they rip Criss Angel a new one.

Christ Angel.

That episode sold me on the show.

I gotta be honest, I was thinking this one was going to suck, but I dig the humor.

I like this too. I think it's getting better with each episode.

It really is.
The last episode when Mark pulls out a grapefruit sized ball of hair from the kitchen sink and says "There's enough hair here for a... 70's Porno" really got me.
So far I've just loved every bit of what I've seen.
I want more MORE MORE!

I agree, when I first saw the promos for this I thought it was going to be terrible but every episode I've seen so far has been great.

Latest episode was good, the penis jokes fell flat at first.

I'd like to echo initial apprehension based on commercials, but subsequent love. This show is pretty excellent, and as a movie geek I love the references subtly (and not so subtly) thrown around. I hope people give this a chance.

I'm only one episode in but glad to see that Comedy Central has ordered 7 more episodes to be aired in November.

Loaner legs, hilarious.

Great to have this back. The humor and imagination on display makes it something different and cool compared to the rest of the crop of animation these days.

Giving this thread a much needed bump. This show is GREAT. Please tell me that I am not the only person on the board that saw the Halloween episode this Wednesday. Too much awesome.

I lost my shit at the Halloween Riots with the kids vs. the monsters.

Agreed. This show is legit one of the best things going right now. Not a bad episode yet, all of them chock full of the funny.

I'm a fan. So much creativity in a half-hour package.

This week was probably the worst episode so far and it was still highly entertaining. Also, a Human Centipede reference.

Leonard is TV's new Bender.
Holy crap, I can totally see that! He is the new Bender! Except it's even better because he's magic!

I thought the last episode was quite fun, it was a super dead on parody of reality TV schtick, it reminded me of the Real World episode of Mission Hill a bit.

My favourite episode of the season is still Kill, Mark, Kill though. Nothing like a mini-Leonard slaughterfest.

If television plucked ideas out of my brain and formed a show, it would be Ugly Americans. I don't think I've ever seen a show as completely in sync with my sensibilities as this.

"Can I go play in that man's van, Mark?"
"...I'm afraid you can."

The Man Birds took what might otherwise be a one-note bit and spun it into disgusting, perverse glory. There have been funnier shows but I don't know if they're ever been as gross on so many different levels.
