7 unproduced screenplays by famous intellectuals

Salon.com has teamed up with McSweeney's, and the first article to come out of the new partnership is this list of 7 unproduced screenplays by famous intellectuals. It's an interesting list, and I have to say that while I'm sure a film written by Winston Churchill and starring Charlie Chaplin is one of those things that would probably work better on paper than actual execution, the thought of it still has me tingling with excitement.

As if I didn't hate Burton's Alice in Wonderland already, Disney's been sitting on a live action/animated Alice in Wonderland written by Aldous Huxley for more than 50 years?? I mean, FUCK.

I'm sure that list could be longer. Still good, though. But they should really make a longer list!
