Done and done. Managed to snag the new Hold Steady LP (limited to 700 copies), a clear vinyl limited version of Neko Case's Midlife Cyclone and the limited edition Record Store Day Version (with different cover art and track list) of the Pavement Greatest Hits. Good RSD all in all!

I was so excited for Record Store Day, and then I discovered that somehow income tax wasn't being withheld from my paychecks this year and now I have approximately $0.10 of spending money.

as far as special stuff goes I got the feel good hit of the summer picture disc from queens of the stone age. awesome vinyl

The new black keys single - RSD special

Coconut records bored to death theme song

plus a whole bunch of free promos, including free vinyls with some good samplers of modern artist

picked up the new sharon jones album on vinyl too...not a rsd special but on sale

I'm listening to the Carrot Top Distribution sampler right now.

Got a couple other sampler cds picked out especially for me by my local disc slinger.

Bought 4 long-needed CDs for $5 a pop (Primus's Tales from the Punchbowl, Bjork's Debut, Radiohead's Hail To The Thief, Lamb of God's As The Palaces Burn), and SEVENTEEN CDs out of the store's $1 CD pile that was full of unexpected gems.

I haven't bought a physical CD for myself in 3 years. Felt great.
