Oh god his fucking voice. I doubt it's a put-on. And Confused Matthew is confused indeed. If he can make a review of 2001 that considers it a dumb movie, I can imagine him doing a review of Basic Instinct, ranting that it's not sexy before he realizes he's also dumb, and lacks the critical foresight and self-consciousness to even realize he's gay. "Look at these tits! Tits! Tits! Tits! Tits! What's with all the tits? It's like this movie is nothing but tits for five minutes now!"

Since most of you couldn't make it very far into this "review" you missed out on his greatest crime - he actively tells ppl who have not seen 2001 before TO NOT SEE IT. That they are missing nothing.

There's gotta be a law somewhere.

Ha! I had wondered if you'd gone crazy for a second there. I even went to a 70mm presentation of 2001 in order to truly experience it. The stuff I loved was even more amazing. But I still dozed off during the trip into the monolith. I know it's not even THAT long, but it konks me out as if it were 30 minutes.

It was through writing a lengthy paper on 2001 that I got to appreciate it on the level I do now. I feel like I won't get any further without having to write a dissertation on it.

It's just the trip itself. Then I come back to for the bedroom and the Starchild.

You think you hate me now? I also get konked out simply by watching Blade Runner. I've tried so many times. At this point, I figure someone must've programed me with hypnotism.

Eat more mushrooms. Not for the screening, just in your spare time. Put yourself on a real "heavy lifting" regiment and then come back to it.
