"He leaned forward, he projectile vomited all over me and my daughter," Vangelo said with a look of hurt splashed across his face.

Clemens then began wailing on Vangelo after he pushed him away from the girl — hitting the off-duty officer in the head and neck, causing his ear to bleed, police said.

Surrounding fans jumped in to help subdue Clemens before he was arrested.
"He was still vomiting on the other fans that were holding him down," Vangelo said.

I reckon the dad was pretty subdued. I know plenty of dads who, at the point of their 11 year old daughters being spat on, would have torn the spitters fucking heads off with nary a pause for the consequences.

It never would have reached the vomiting stage before bones were being broken

How did this guy find the one Zen-like cop in all of Pennsylvania?

Oh, pukey McGee should probably leave the east coast. The dad was smart enough not to be a cop who beat a guy to death in front of a packed stadium, but I doubt the vomiter would ever be able to get a speeding ticket without a beatdown from here on out.

Also, Devin, please never ever ever paint all sports fans with the same brush as fucking Phillies fans.

Holy shit, until I clicked the link I thought this was about Roger Clemens. Damn their initial misspelling.

Christ, that's horrible though.

I count three assholes who should have heard about this days ago on my FB page. Fuck you guys!!

I like to think the enterprising young fella was reaching for the stars and just trying to figure out how to eclipse "Booing Santa Claus" in terms of Philly sports fan low point. But there's an arena parking lot murder that's yet to be topped!

So as a foreigner, I'm wondering if there's any particular reason why Phillies fans seem to be such gigantically epic douchnozzles.

They're from Philadelphia.
They make Yankees fans look like good sports and all around pleasant people.

No really I'm kinda serious - why Phillies fans in particular - what seems to make them like this seemingly?

I think the press makes it a self-perpetuating thing. I wasn't kidding about fans feeling the need to one-up the previous news story.

This is a pretty amazing Daily Show segment of Philly fans' epic douchebaggery.
