Look I know I'm a gossip fiend, but the local Fox affiliate is currently airing a 10 minute long segment on how to make money taking candids of celebrities. I guess I shouldn't be surprised this is on Fox, but it seems crazy to me that there is a news editorial actively telling people to go stalk celebrities, and which specific ones who live locally bring the most cash for their pictures (NYC = SPJ).
They even pimped out websites where you can upload your photos and they'll shop them around for youto the tune of 40-50% of the proceeds). Two of the sites mentioned were www.peoplepaparazzi.com, an affiliate of Splash, and http://meetthefamous.com/. Apparently those candids of A-Rod and Kate Hudson at Yankee stadium last year were taken by some guy sitting in a nearby section, and the anchors joked that he probably used the money to buy season tickets.
Lindsay photos were not worth very much (pic of her blowing our her birthday cake went for $1000), but P. Diddy jogging in Central Park went for almost $5 grand. So if you've got some photos lying around of you sucking Brad Pitt's balls, now's your chance to make some loot.
