Smackdown vs Raw 2010

Now this is a return to form for these games. They have added back in the option to play any of the current roster in the Road to Wrestlemaina/carrer modes and given the create a wrestler options a complete overhaul. In fact the game is now more about creating your own wrestler than it ever was before and it's a ton of fun.

So far I have created Superman, Flash Gordon and myself in the create mode but I'm currently playing the game through with a old school styled wrestler called Mr Amazing (if only because I love Lawler and Ross saying the name when calling the matches.)

I had sort of cooled on these games but I love this one.

I enjoyed this quite a bit until my Xbox decided to scratch the disc up. Thanks Microsoft!

But yeah, while not a contender for game of the year by a longshot, this is probably the best video game the wrestling world has ever produced and the create-a-wrestler is aces. You just haven't lived until you've seen your eighth grade math teacher suicide dive off a ladder onto your fifth grade gym teacher. The motions look more fluid than ever and the movesets have gotten bigger. I'm gonna try to repair my disc soon.

I love the fact that if you repeadily hit someone in the chest they get red welt marks across it, and you can cusomize any match to be a no dq or countout without unlocking an extreme rules match.

Despite falling out of love of wrestling recently even though TNA kept me around a little longer before Hulk Hogan derailed it, I gotta say I really like this game, but its a bittersweet, love/hate kind of like, erm, like.

I got a big kick out of making myself and going through the storyline with him. Especially the part where

***SPOILERS I GUESS***

Santino makes fun of the way u look saying you like something some nerd would create in a video game, and then he eyebrows at the camera. AHAHA

***END SPOILERS I GUESS***

But the series is still baby steps. They just now added the ability to move along the outside apron and manually do springboard attacks.

Draggin your opponent, turnin him/her over, fighting out of submissions, breaking up submissions; these were added game by game even though WWF No Mercy back on N64 had all these features and more.

Now they need to add being able to help out a buddy from being eliminated in the Royal Rumble. If me and my friends decide on a truce until we're the last guys there's really not anything to do if they're struggling to be tossed out. If u can break up a pin or sumbission by attacking or grabbing then I don't see why they didn't implement this into the Royal Rumble match.

Of course the worst thing aboot it is still the online play. I've grown accustomed to pressing the reversal button a second ahead of time anticpating that maybe one second later they will do an attack/grapple and I will counter it but its been this way ever since the PS2 days and they never seem to be interested in fixing it before moving on to the next installment.

I do still enjoy the game though.

Haven't played the Road to Wrestlemaina mode yet, Im going through the career mode to build my charater up. I currently hold the US and IC belt in that one and I'm challanging for the Tag titles with Christian.

I love the fact you can manually create allies and eniemies as well and this seems to stay constant throughout the game.
