Noah's Ark found

I like the Bible and local belief being cited as "historical accounts".

And I thought carbon dating was bad and unreliable? That's what they said when it showed the Shroud of Turin didn't date from the time of Christ.

We are 99% sure we found something. 100% of people don't know what it looks like, but we're 99% sure we found it.

This fucking guy should sell Sex Panther.

The thing that pisses me off about Noah's Ark and Mt. Ararat is that it means legitimate research can't be done on the mountain about anything. The Turkish government is a real pain in the ass about the place and as such I know some geologists who've had to cancel a research project over there because the Government thought they were 'Ark hunters'.

And the 70s and the 80s. Granted the local government stifles any meaningful research to determine what (if anything) has actually been found.

Who is they?

Not to shit in the punchbowl, but if the dude did find a ship thousands of years old (that how old the Arc is, right), it'd be pretty cool.

You know; them.

If only they could find the Ark of the Covenant. Just flip the lid and let God ILM some zealots away.

I don't believe that this is the Ark but that report was disgustingly smug. Seriously, if we're gonna call out Fox news on that sort of bullshit reporting we need to do it here, as well.

Hong Kong-based Noah's Ark Ministries International? Jesus Christ, this is hilarious.

It would be awesome if they find a T-rex at the wheel.
Well, it would be awesome to me.

Creationists certainly don't like carbon-dating being used to prove the age of the Earth. But the age of a boat? Sure. Bust out that "unreliable" mumbo jumbo.

And that vid had a clip from the John Voight TV movie. Ha.

I'm pretty sure you can't use carbon dating on rocks. Carbon dating only works for a few tens of thousands of years anyway because the short half-life means after a billion years there won't be a sample large enough to use.
Bah, the world's only 6,000 years old anyways. So carbon dating should be fine.

I remember watching some special on Discovery or one of those channels, and it was about how the scientists who did the tests on the Shroud eventually realized that through the years the Shroud had pieces rewoven on to it, and what they had tested was actually a new piece of cloth.

I'd imagine that's because it's a moneymaker for them.

Here's some info from a Biblically-based magazine on the last time they found "The Ark." It's refreshingly logical and scientific, completely refuting the idea that what was found was The Ark.

I was going to post the exact same thing. Weird.

I am going to ask a single question that will either prove or disprove the find

Is the boat they found large enough to house two of each and every species on earth? (There are like 40 000 kinds of spiders alone)

If the answer is "NO", than the Christians should just give up on the idea that we're going to find archaeological evidence of events from Fairy Tales
