All your euros are belong to Greece. - Page 9

That I kinda get, but a week after the default seems a bit pointless and referendums ain't cheap. Interesting the Eurozone isn't playing the game anymore.

I don't think he quite understands this would have been on the cards a long time. Pretty much everyone would have made contingency plans for a grexit by now.

For a pessimist such as myself this has been an endless fountain of dark comedy.

It gets funnier. Looks like the Troika aren't prepared to give Greece a better deal, even faced with a referendum:

Closed banks and withdrawal limits! Yea!

I'm so glad my countrymen elected these fucktards!

What a disaster. Banks might close all week. And what's the point of the referendum now? The deal's off the table.

It appears you might be using the Drachma again soon, Stelios. Hope things aren't too bad for you and your family and friends.

We'll be OK for the next month so assuming a non complete meltdown we'll fare as good as can be expected.

Best of luck to you and your countrymen, Stelios. I really hope everything will turn out for the better, with or without Tsipras' gang. This comedy is getting way too dark, David Fincher couldn't come up with this shit.

And what the hell will next Sunday's referendum be about?

What is really about is the government running to hide under the people's skirt so they won't have to admit just how bad they fucked the situation up.

Well Stelios, you're going to have an advance screening of the abyss.

I'm waiting to hear about it, and please do save a comfy spot for me, we're next in line and I believe in preparedness...

Well, Stelios if you're running out of cash you can always rob a tourist. They can still withdraw from ATMs!

Seriously I wouldn't be surprised if assaults on tourists shoot up this week.

I guess life is pretty peachy if you're a thief operating in Greece, as everyone's trying to get their money off their bank accounts and either carrying it with them or stashing it in their homes.

...so I assume everyone will stack up on guns, machetes, and what have you to defend the cash.

Stage 1 of the Wastelands.

Interesting times are coming!

Juncker (President of EU Commission).

Well... that's kinda scary. Not exactly in my top 10 of inspiring speeches.

Ugh, Juncker was one of the arrogant old idiots who dreamt up the Euro.

I see the name of the Greek government's chief negotiator is Euclid. Wonder whether they chose him because he knows all the angles.

Good luck, Stelios.

Good luck, indeed. Think of the stories you'll be able to tell your grandchildren about living through this period of your country's history.

I'm having a great time.

Fixed. "It is by Immortan Stelios' hand, the Greeks will rise from the ashes of this world!"

...sorry, can't shake the mental image.

Now the referendum is cancelled? Tsipras capitulates? What the hell's going on??

Paddy Power (UK online betting agency for the non brits among us), have already paid out on a Yes vote. Tsipras is trying to control a situation he's basically caused. If the referendum says YES then the creditors will impose punishing conditions and he'll be out of a job.

ETA: The Germans are not playing ball. Merkel is basically throwing the 'democracy' line right back at Tspiras and telling him that there is no negotiation until after a referendum. And if the German parliament isn't on board, there is not point negotiating anything.

I see Tsipras catching a jet out of the country before the end of the day.  What a clusterfuck.

He doesn't the necessary grasp on reality to know how much he's fucking up.

I think he'd also need cosmetic surgery to survive the embarrassment.
