I Googled the forum and didn't see any post-release threads, so I thought I'd start one. This is the first Park film that sort of confused me. I honestly have no idea what the main thrust of the story was. It seems to follow the standard vampire genre thing of exploring the sexual subtext of vampire stories and makes that subtext text, as many of these stories do. That's not hard to follow.
However, the religious themes are sort of muddled by my viewing. Is it as simple as basically telling the romantic aspect of the Dracula story but ending on a nihilistic take on the religious aspect of that story? The story seems to revolve around the main character's crisis of faith and desire to actually do good but the ending sort of leaves me wondering what, if any, arc he had in that area.
