I need a graphic designer

I need a graphic designer to create a website and some advertising materials for my wife's legal practice (she does veteran's disability and social security law, mostly).

A few years ago, a Chewer posted a link to some work he'd done that was quite impressive. Problem is, I can't remember who posted it.

If it's you, drop me a line. If it isn't you, but you can do the work, drop me a line.

And now, as my thanks for reading this, here's a picture of some Cthulhu slippers:

Line: Dropped.

And awesome - I want some slippers like that.

Frank,

I was just eating my dinner when saw your post. I wanted to make a comment and a suggestion:

1) Those are pretty nifty octo-slippers

2) for your logo you could have blind justice crouched over of a fallen soldier on a rocky crag, one hand caressing his face , the other extending a law book defiantly as a shield against the forces of darkness, brilliant beams of light shining off the books cover

Veteran legal services and all that, eh?

no dude fuck Jeremy hire Kate

Thanks, Jake. I just happen to think strong imagery like that would work well with a military audience. I could try to sketch something up, but my illustration skills are fucking embarrassing (little stick figures are a staple of most sketchwork I've ever done). However, the way I picture it in my head is like an NC Wyeth art deco mural. Similar to the illustrations on the walls of Rockefeller Plaza. Bold, stylized, high contrast between light and shadow.

Anyway, hope that helps

PS The white light against the black sky that would be shining out from the book (justices's arm stretched out to the right) could be where you put the text with the name of your law practice

Jeremy, I'll show my wife all the links you sent me. Thanks for getting in touch!

Kate, rest assured that I'll show your idea to my wife just as soon as I possibly can.

As are we all, Kate. As are we all.

And awesome, Alex. Looking forward to hearing back from you!

If you need logos or anything like that I can lend a hand as well.

Kate, my wife and I discussed your idea at length. In the end, however, she decided to go in a different direction.

Nexus, if she decides she wants a logo, I'll drop you a line. Thanks!

Aw, well ok. I'm glad my idea at least warranted discussion. Keep it in mind, it could still be cool on even a one-off advertisement or flyer

PS

I want to take this moment, 2:41pm 5/7/2010 , to declare that my veterans legal services logo idea is my property and anyone reading this other than Frank is not allowed to use it for profit without permission.
