Lame powered superhero ensemble?

Has there ever been a comic about a bunch of "superheroes" who have to step up, even though they have lame-ass powers? I seem to remember something like that but am not sure.

I have what I think is a pretty good idea for a similar sort of story but I thought it would be good to know the pedigree.

Legion of Substitute Heroes did it first, although it's questionable how lame Polar Boy or Night Girl were. The "high standards" Legion let Matter Eater Lad and Bouncing Boy in, for chrissakes.

Inferior Five and Mystery Men are other examples.

As for a team, I couldnt say, but Booster Gold has been exactly written this way since 52....his powers are pretty standar and kind of lame, but the series twist is that BG needs to be seen as a shill and a lame hero in order to fullfil his mision.

Plus, Squirrel Girl joined them which means they are pretty much overpowered now.

Yeah, I don't know about comics, but in film this is the exact plot of both Mystery Men and Sky High.

Dude, is Squirrel Girl's tail part of her costume? Is she really growing a tail? If she is, is all that other fur.....grown there?

Oh god. This feels so...uncomfortable.

The Detroit Justice League, though that was unintentional.
