After mentioning this in the Rio Bravo thread I thought it deserved one of its own. I can't say much about it because my VHS copy has long since disappeared. I just checked on eBay and there are a couple of copies going for more than I would want to pay based just on childhood memories. It isn't even on YouTube, which I'll admit shocked me. This movie seems to have just disappeared. I'm wondering if anyone else has memories about it like I do.
This was one of the first tapes we bought after getting a VCR. We bought it because it was cheap enough to be in our price range and my father remembered it from HIS childhood. I was maybe five.
This was one of the first movies I watched over and over. So much that my older sister got tired of it and hid it from me. I eventually found it weeks later behind the couch.
It was years before I finally got the "Mother run too fast" joke, then I felt guilty about laughing at it.
And the real reason it has such a special place in my childhood, Tina Aumont was my first crush.
I'm curious if anyone has access to this film now and can speak towards its actual quality. I'm moving through a haze of nostalgia.
