What a cool little B movie. Strother Martin, L.Q. Jones are really the most notable of the cast (Jones also produced), and if I was pitching a Platinum Dunes remake I'd call it Rosemary's Baby meets Village of the Damned. It knows what it is, and it's lurid, but there are passages of genuine creepiness and a palpable sense of dread.
