Good for Gore, I always hated Tipper and her stupid crusades against the Music Industry. Its time for some hollywood pussy.

I love how everyone on TV was so shocked. "Oh, but they've been together for 40 years!" Longevity does not equal happiness.

On one hand, I've always thought that Tipper Gore is a total bitch who is a "New Democrat"/Reagan Democrat/college kid with a conscience who grew into the role of a corporate whore and I'm glad that the former Vice President is finally free of her. On the other hand, this is exactly the kind of tabloid story the MSM gloms onto whenever its corporate masters are incapable of wagging the dog directly and its success in sucking up attention is in direct conflict with the cause of his life. So, win-lose?

I didn't vote for Gore (I went Nader in a Gore state in 2000) cause of his wife.

Al Gore is in the clear from the MSM cause he didn't do a Tiger Woods or Edwards. The Fox News-speare will have a field day with this. I want to find out how his getting a divorce will be proof that Global Warming is a hoax!

I don't know if it's that straightforward of an equation, but my thinking was, "Things have to be really bad to bail after 40 years." Because you sort of figure that if things were really bad, they would have split some time ago.

Unless your marriage is one of political convenience. Not that I believe the Gore marriage was but the Clinton marriage is arguably a front for the gain of political power.

I voted Libertarian, but yes, I definitely still held a grudge against him because of his wife and the PMRC when I made my choice. I actually wrote a paper about music lyrics and the PMRC in a college ethics class and got my first college-level A+ for it.

As a life long metal head, I never liked Tipper. As a teenager I would talk about the first amendment, real issues the government should be concerned with, etc. Now as an adult I don't have the free time to worry about kids hearing fuck. People who choose to spend there free time bitching about movies, books, TV, video games worry me.
