After three friends uploaded the infamous clip, which features Raza flailing about with a metal pole doing his most awkward Darth Maul impersonation, the Canadian teen became depressed, dropped out of school and wound up in a children's psychiatric hospital.


Raza and his family eventually took the parents of the kids who uploaded the videos to court and sued them for the harassment Ghyslain has endured since the clip debuted, and they eventually earned a settlement. It seems like the story would end there, but website Motherboard brings us an update on one of the online world's most iconic people -- and where Raza is now may (or may not ... ) surprise you ...

Raza, now in his early 20s (and slimmed down) didn't become a Sith Lord, but he did wind up as the next best thing: a lawyer. After his courtroom experience, he decided to head to Montreal's McGill University, where he obtained his law degree.

Something tells me there's going to be a lot of ridiculed fat kids suing their bullies and Star Wars Kid will be their attorney.
It's a real shame for him that he starts his career as Star Wars Kid, one fat kid out of millions decides to tape his shitty staff moves, isn't bright enough to keep it hidden away where only he can find it (his then friends probably got a hold of the tape because he wanted to show off his moves or something).
Then when he inevitably gets mocked and made fun of, he cries his way into the psychiatric ward.
Only to become some douchey looking lawyer man.

I really hope his headstone says "Ghyslain Raza, He was Star Wars Kid"

My guess would be arbitration. For some reason I envision this guy having great success mediating disputes about the taxation of trade routes or something like that.

Well, the internet has stripped down an individual's social protection and made it possible to humiliate some victim kid on a global scale. So it's not surprising people head to court to get a sense of personal control back. Being in court was probably a revelation to the guy that he has rights as a human being.

I wonder how Jake Whatsit from the Prequels is going? He didn't look too happy in that recent video interview. He should sue the fuck out of Lucas for humiliating him in front of every human being on the planet and many more still yet to be born.

Good for him. It's too bad he took it like he did, but I can certainly understand why. To be who he was and become that famous just doesn't happen alot.
