FLIRTING WITH DISASTER Disaster

I dug this quite a bit. A David O Russell flick, Stiller plays Mel, a guy looking for his birth parents whilst dealing with troubles in his relationship with and inability to name his new child. It's quite scattergun, and a mishmash of road trip movie and Woody Allen-esque comedy, and a lot of the comedy really works. It's got a really fun energy going throughout and does look a bit at finding out and accepting what your role in the world is, relationship-wise.

Stiller is good, Richard Jenkins is absolutely the MVP here though ('You can't catch the wind!'), ably supported by Josh Brolin- is Jenkins ever not great?

One of my favorite comedies of the 90's. It's been too long since I've watched it. The whole cast is just outrageously good.

Very underrated.

LOVE the Ronald Reagan LSD tabs!
