Any scary websites out there?

Out of curiosity, I was wondering if people could post any particularly scary websites they have come across. What do I mean by scary? Well, I know that there are quite a lot of flash websites out there, and I always wondered if there were people that used that too good effect in creating a genuinely scary, "horror" site. I noticed that some horror movies have websites which can be scary, but if there are any others out there, I'd be interested in checking it out. Something that would be terrifying, creepy, disturbing, suspenseful, etc. just to browse through.

I'm actually kind of surprised those kind of things aren't more popular. Maybe they're tough to make.

Don't know exactly what you're looking for but <a href="http://horrorfind.com" target="_blank">Horror find</a> has everything broken down, just pick a subject and go to it. :-)

I liked <a href="http://www.castleofspirits.com" target="_blank">Castle of Spirits</a> once upon a time...supposedly "true" ghost stories submitted by readers, many of them obviously made up, many more totally unscary, but every now and then one would make my flesh crawl. Surprisingly, the scariest ones were usually in the obviously made-up camp.

I don't even know if it's still in business...

<a href="http://www.urbanchillers.com" target="_blank">Urban Chillers</a> used to have some worthwhile stuff too, but I haven't been there in ages either.

Awesome movie. Yes, I'm looking for something like that .... except, you know, it won't turn me into a wraith. But something with that level of freakiness.

Thanks for all the suggestions. If anyone comes across any others, let me know! We need more scary websites out there. Done well, I can see them being as entertaining as a scary movie.

Yeah it is, I was there just the other day. They do have some pretty good stories there.

When I'm especially bored, I sometimes check out the <a href="http://www.libraryghost.com/" target="_blank">Willard Library ghost cams</a>, but I've never seen jack shit.

The last two are effective, though they feel kind of cheap.

The first one is pretty cool, though. Has a Blair Witch/Ringu quality to it.

The first is much effective when it was bigger and it said "Stare very closly, there appears to be an image of a ghost in the background"
I was about a couple inches from the screen, and it made me jump pretty good.

And that they stole my eyes still isnt working, what the fuck.

Yes, the ghost pics work best when you set them up right.

Tell your buddy to stare at it real hard, see if they can make out the ghost. And with the sound ones, it's always best to crank the volume up.
