Good PC Controller?

I got a couple PC games (Psychonauts & GTA: SA) for which the keyboard/mouse combo aren't cutting it. Can anyone recommend some good PC controllers for me? I have a laptop, and am most used to Playstation 2 controllers.

Thanks!

You can use console controllers on the PC, just search for USB adapters.

Oh shit, excellent. They're even cheap. Now I just need to find a PS2 controller and I'm in the money.

For my money, the best PC controller is the XBOX 360 usb one. Easily.

So how does the PS2 adapter work? Does it work as a controller for any PC game? Only work with games up to a certain year?

I charge my PS3 controller with the cpu usb, but I haven't tried to play any games. Maybe I'll give it a try to see how it goes.

I mostly want it for GTA: San Andreas. There are missions (like the hooptie bounce-off) that apparently need a controller just to complete. I couldn't find where the right analog stick was mapped to. Unless I was supposed to use my mouse, which doesn't really work in a DDR type mini-game.
