You can do "comic booky world" without it being too inside, like break the fourth wall for a little "talking to the audience" exposition, blah, blah, and so on. As long as you bring the funny, people (including the uninitiated) will roll with it. Honestly, a She-Hulk film is the only Marvel property that I would be genuinely excited to see, provided it's not a bunch of setting up a sequel / tie-in nonsense.

Having said that, I could see Lauren Graham as Jen.
I think you just answered your own question. Even if you drop all the inside stuff (which I don't consider essential to the character, though she could always pop up as someone's lawyer in another hero's movie) you've still got a seven-foot-tall muscle-lady with a sweet personality. Ticket sold.

Well, given that Slott's She-Hulk was one of my favorite comics of the past few years, it'd be nice if you're right.

The "I've been working out" storyline would be a great arc.

Drives a truck, bare-knuckle fighting... that hair.
Having just subjected myself to X-Men Origins: Wolverine, I'd say the call outs to Eastwood by Jackman and/or Fox are thoroughly explicit and intentional. The whole Canadian sequence feels to me like it's ripped from a late-70s to mid-80s Eastwood movie, and the way Jackman plays the confrontation with Stryker at the lumber yard is some pretty obvious Clint channeling, IMO.

Hate to double post, but how about Paul Bettany for Constantine if they ever decided to make one that hued closer to the source material?

Alexander Skarsgård would be an amazing Namor the Sub-Mariner.

TIMOTHY OLYPHANT FOR CLARK KENT!

But who would play Superman?

Josh Duhamel

As much as I agree with this, I actually think he'd be a much more appropriate Aquaman personally. Namor, has always struck me as one of the few mainstream superheroes where the opportunity presents itself to cast an Asian actor in the role rather than whitewashing it and going the blond Caucasian route. Maybe I'm off base but that's how I've always seen the character.

Imagine an actor the calibre of Takeshi Kaneshiro or even someone along the lines of Daniel Dae Kim or John Cho in the role? I reckon it'd work brilliantly.

Skarsgård on the other hand is custom fucking made for this iteration of Aquaman...

Wasn't there a rumor going around that Supes would be done totally in CG. I figured as much since Snyder is directing and WB is doing the same thing with GL.

I mean, how awesome would Olyphant be?
When exactly has Olyphant done bumbling, nervous and boy scoutish to suggest he'd be such a good Clark? What great performance that proves this am I missing here?

There's nothing. He only plays cool.

I also think he would have made a fantastic Red Skull. Hugo Weaving is far too old (why would Hitler have a super solider in his 50s?).

Maybe he can be Black Mask in the next Nolan Bat film?

They're not doing the same thing with GL, as the last time I looked, Ryan Reynolds is a flesh and blood human being possessed of abs with their own zip code. It's just the costume.

The CGI Superman thing was *rumored* to be a consideration a few years back, but nothing came of it, it's certainly not come up since the triumvirate of Nolan, Goyer, and Snyder came aboard.

For the record, I do not support Olyphant as Superman.

If you're a fan of Olyphant you should def check out a recent indie flick he did called High Life. He plays a bumbling stoner thief, and while that's far from Clark Kent, I don't see any reason why he couldn't pull it off well. He'd sure as hell bring more depth, character and overall badassness to the movie than Routh or most of everyone else they are considering.

John Cusack for Sandman (not Gaiman's).
