My cheap vodka of choice is Svedka.
My cheap bourbon of choice is Jim Beam (that's what happens when you hang out with UVA grads).
My cheap tequila of choice is Jose Cuervo Tradicional.
My cheap brandy of choice is Christian Brothers.
Rum makes me want to die and I, therefore, do not have a favorite cheap rum.

I used to be all about rum > vodka, but a weekend in Puerto Rico a year ago where I drank rum and nothing but flipped the scales on that one.

Drinking a bunch of Tanqueray gin back before I was legal soured me on the taste of gin forever. Tried to do gin n tonic... the gin taste gets me every time. Tastes like pine needles smell.

Can't really deal with tequila either and yet people insist on buying me Patron shots at the bar. No thanks, really.

This time of year you need to be into the refreshing drinks.

Tom Collins', Zombie's, Fish House Punch, Maiden's Prayer, Rum and Coke but splash it with gin and dash it with bitters to make it stand out.

Flash mix a batch of margaritas to pour over rocks.

Blender + 6oz can frozen limeade + topped off with sliced frozen strawberries + 6-10oz rum(your taste) equals cooling off drunk heaven after the second pitcher.

Last night, they had a special on Peach Tea vodka. Since the bartender bought me the drink I had it mixed with soda water and let the ladies I was with sample it. They all said it tasted like snapple, and as my first drink I couldn't taste shit. Seemed like serious date rape helper.

I know those flowers. Blue Velvet.

A friend of mine told us about a horrible date he was on, and there was some box wine and an enema kit in the bathroom. DO THE MATH.

If you don't like drinking, don't drink. I used to be a pretty avid drinker, I gave up about six months ago and I've lost so much weight it's unreal. As much as I love drinking unless your planning to become a deadbeat alcholic drinking is the fastest way to weight gain outside of putting big macs into a blender.

But....if you're wanting good, cheap, Scotch I gotta through some love to Aberlour and the Talisker blends. Nice, budget, drinks which are infinitely more classy than Teachers, Bells, etc.

it's amazing how many people have never heard of it before. I bought it on a whim, and it's my "go to vodka" at the grocery store. Put it in the freezer too. That way it doesn't melt the ice when you pour it over.

Oh, and the wife just picked up some Blu Cheese stuffed Olives. EXCELLENT.

I think a dry Tito's Martini, with some of those olives is on the agenda tonight.

Milwaukee is actually making some fine liquor lately too.

Reihorst Premium Vodka is very cool, and comes in a spiffy Brewers themed vodka bottle.

I also just tried Roaring Dan's rum. It's got a maple syrup kick in it, very good with alot of ice, and some Coke (not the white stuff).

I don't think you can assume the two were connected. If it was a small appartment it could have just been stored there for convience. I store alot of groceries on the sofa because I have germ-phobia issues about the kitchen, but that doesn't mean that I cook my dinner in the living room.

Whiskey Sour is one of my favorites:

2 oz blended whiskey
juice of 1/2 lemons
1/2 tsp powdered sugar
1 cherry
1/2 slice lemon

Found the Banana Monkey while in Cancun:
8 ounces pina colada nonalcoholic drink mix
1 fluid ounce Kahlua
1 fluid ounce vodka
1/3 banana
ice

I'm an infrequent drinker, so if I'm going to drink I want it to taste good.
