Pirates of the Caribbean: Armada of the Damned.

Well now, I was sure we had a thread for this (I might be confusing it with all the other threads), anyway couldn't DARKMITE8 it so I'll start this one.

this game has surfaced with some gameplay footage in trailer form. Teasing us next week for E3 (most of the GTTV show was torture, so I wont link that).

So have the trailer chums:

Looks alright so far, rather Fable-like with the character design (especially the faces) and the whole good/evil change your look thing.

That, and it being an Action-RPG.

Ship combat looks rather hectic and hopefully fun, exploration and puzzles. Hopefully they don't fuck it up, as the last pirate games I played that didn't suck were Sid Meier's Pirates back in the day, and the PotC one on PC and X-Box that was pretty much Sea-Dogs 2 (hard, buggy and unforgiving that one was).

Ahoy.

I thought the exact same thing when I watched the trailer: a Piratey version of Fable. Hopefully this game will end up being at least as much fun as Fable 2.

That looks great, totally agree on the Fable front and I love the Fable games so this is a good thing.

I'm interested. The Pirates universe is ripe for exploration. I remember during the sequels I was really hoping they'd take advantage of this rich, idiosyncratic fantasy world in other mediums.
