They used to show the damn thing could pick it up without dropping it or breaking any eggsm cause thats how the military roled in the sixties.

You can only hit its weak spots when it's in Omelette Mode. Try to hit it in Over Easy and you're dead meat, soldier.

Well, one of the reasons it wasnt developed further was that it was slow as hell and took several minutes just to get a pilot in it....so yes, i said youre right on the money there.

That thing isn't a Metal Gear unless it has a mouth and it makes dinosaur noises when it opens.

I still love the Metal Gear series, as stupid and overt it is with its messages. It's like GI Joe but with a bunch of half-baked commentaries on universal truths and the nature of man. May it never change.

Oddly enough (okay, maybe the word doesnt fit here) my favorite Metal Gears are the ones based in the Cold War; playing "Peace Walker" right now, and ye gods, is Kojima one crazy bastard.
I still think the series deserves its praise and fame, but the degree of crazyness in it has to be intentional...hell, would anyone but Kojima make the hardest boss of a videogame a freaking stair? (okay, maybe it wasnt the stair, but that fucking song!)
