Has anyone seen any of the Guiene Pig movies?

I keep reading about these movies. They seem like some of the most twisted shit out there. Could someone who's seen some of them give me an idea if they are worth watching?

Thank you for those links...seriously. My fiance was extremely curious about these "films" after hearing a little bit about them. This was cured by those very detailed reviews...and the definitive knowledge that this was in no way, shape or form "fun" gore. Thank GOD is all I can say. I don't think I would be able to stand having that trash in my house.

Must.... have... these .... films.....

Sorry, people may judge all they want. Oddly enough I am a Buddhist and about the most peaceful person you could ever meet. I am a vegetarian, don't drink, don't smoke, make sure to try to never curse in front of my children, etc..... But I THRIVE on this stuff.

Horror + Gore = Happiness

Now, people can judge, and people can't think that movie choices determine deep psychological character traits of an individual, and maybe that is true. But these are pure cathartic guilty pleasure.

I have yet to see these. Not every film can have great acting and a well written story like Audition, nor can the gore be used to accentuate the art like Day of the Dead or even Kill Bill. So for everyone who will dismiss films like this, that is certainly your option. But please lets not make the sweeping proclaimations of worth or art based on your experience alone.

Bring on the gore!

The Guiena Pig films are not going to win any humanitarian awards, that's for sure. And women's groups will never rally to have them shown on Lifetime, either.

These movies are Hong Kong Category III movies...extreme, nihilistic and completely against women. They are crude and disgusting.

And I think they are great.

These are movies that really test your ability. It's like a contest to see how much you can stand, which atrocity will make you run screaming.

Any social value? Nope. But for pure endurance testing and blood and gore galore, they're the most over the top out there.

As fans, it would be nice if we could pick and choose what we individually consider extreme, but these are the real deal.

You'll really feel dirty after watching these movies, but gore wise, there won't be much that you won't be able to take after seeing these movies.

If people watch horror movies to feel uncomfortable, than these are the most uncomfortable movies you will ever see.

Whenever non horror fanatics ask me what the grossest movie they can see is, I steer them towards these movies. They can make believers out of the masses or send the common folk running for the hills holding their lunch.

Watching these movies is definitely a trial.

Let's get one thing clear. These aren't horror movies. These are faux-snuff torture movies. They are in a class all their own.

Yes, that are horror movies. Only two are "snuf style" movies. The rest have stories. The point of these movies is the gore. In this movies the gore is the art. If you can't already tell I like them. If you want to see them "Unearthed Films" have released 3 DVDs double features of them, a fourth is on the way. Out so far;
"The Devils Experiment"

This is one of the two "snuf style" films, it's a girl being tortured. No story.

on the same disc.
"Android of Notre Dame"

This is about a doctor trying to save his sister's life who is dying from genetic heart disease.

Another disc has:

"Flower of Flesh And Blood"

The other "snuf style" film about a girl being drawn and quartered.

The second feature is
"The Making Of Guinea Pig"
The title says it all.

The third double feature

"He Never Dies"
A story of a man that tries to kill himself a can't, no matter what he does. This is a very gory dark comedy.

The second feature is

"Mermaid In A Manhole"
This is about a guy that finds a mermaid in a sewer with a weird desease and tries to save he.

No two ways about it, these are extreme. If you're into extreme gore, movies in which the art of the film is the gore, check them out. These won't be remake by American directors anytime soon. You can order them from www.unearthedfilms.com or www.guineapigfilms.com or you can have Borders order them for you like I did.

I went to a couple more sites last night and read about these films. Saw a couple of screen shots from them too. Looking at this stuff really made me feel sick to my stomache. I don't think I'm ever doing to be watching any of these.

meh <- indifference

Seen the first one, and the making of. It's gory, but most of the scenes can easily be faked. The only scene I didn't like was when the girl in "Devil's Experiment" was being slapped in the face with raw meat. Even though she was an actor, it didn't look like acting to me.

I think that is why I have a problem with rape scenes in movies. Cause even though it "is an act" it doesn't look like that to me.
