I think the problem is that this season they are often introducing plot points that aren't resolved at the end of the episode and sometimes aren't resolved for a few. So when the credits start rolling I'm like...wait...that's it??! Nothing fucking happened. Then the next episode or two they'll revisit it, but then they include other plot points in the episode that you still have to wait for. So there's never a feeling of closure to any of the episodes.
Also, this season, Ray and Tanya don't seem to be getting anywhere. You keep wanting them to succeed and they just...don't. There's barely any HOPE that they will. It's just such a let down that the writers will constantly make it seem like they'll get a big break and then they take it away. Constantly. See it's fine once in a awhile, then you wouldn't be expecting it. But it always happens. They always do it. That's why it's annoying.
Also, none of the characters change. Ray is still a close minded immature ass. Tanya is still a doormat. He's gotten better at being a gigolo, but he still pines after his wife instead of accepting it and is still close minded about stuff about his kids instead of accepting them. I thought when Damon and Darby told him about how he wouldn't be their friends if they were going to school together, that he'd DO something, or he'd slightly change, or it would come up later. But it hasn't. The show is missing a heart. They hint that it's there but it's just surface details.
