I don't see the usage issue with "awesome." However, the hipsters have kind of tainted that word with the "jawesome" variety. I fucking want to punch people in their PBR swilling, hoodie or ironic hat covered faces when I hear that.

No, but seriously I've never heard anyone use the word outside of friends I grew up with... and in college during a game of Smash Bros. Melee.




I don't hang out with hipsters though, so I guess I'm not exposed to it.

fuck I use "dude" and "awesome" all the time but that's more thanks to my newfound sense of optimism rather than being a surfer
