I still had Rhapsody streaming in the background while I was watching that, and Link Wray's "Rumble" was just about perfect-- for several seconds, I thought it was part of the trailer.

And, yeah, great "cameo."

Whoa. Weird. I thought the exact same thing while I was watching it.

None of the jokes really spoke to me, but I love the look and the character animation.

The look is great, and the lighting is superb. It looks weird enough to keep me interested. Even if Depp's voice isn't quite doing it for me.

I cracked up laughing no fewer than three times watching that trailer--a surrealistic Western Wind in the Willows for kids? I'm there.

I give it a C+. The animation was great, but I expect no less from ILM. The story was okay, good, but definitely not great. The main thing through the movie was that the role was definitely NOT Johnny Depp's. I love JD, but this movie was simply not his best vehicle. I spent the entire movie thinking, "This should have been David Hyde Pierce." I really think he would have done a much better job. Heck, the lizard even looked like David Hyde Pierce.
