Let's get it started...let's get it started...

Forgive the B.E.P. interlude...aren't we getting ready to rumble here soon? As the runner-up yet again, I am here to throw down the gauntlet and say "Bring it On Again".

(how many cliches can I use?)
Not enough, anyways I'm up for joining this year. What site fantasy site is used Yahoo? ESPN?...etc?

Yahoo. Starving Dog usually sets up everything and we'll live draft usually the weekend before the season starts. So I guess the first thing we need to do is Check-In.

So, who is in this year that played last year? Me!
I'm in, so were you guys able to keep a player from last season to use for this one?
I used Yahoo last year and enjoyed it. It was my first year play Fantasy Football and it made the season even more enjoyable. Plus it gives me something to do when the Colts are on a bye week.
I've been in a few Chud B-leagues and wanted to throw my name out there if a spot opens up (or the league expands) as I've always wanted to try my hand at the big time.
Back in. 7th place sucks, got to improve on that this year.
If there's a B-League or room in this one, I'd be interested in throwing my hat in the ring.
4th in the standings, missed a bye and dropped to 6th.

FYI to all the Keeper league players-3 keepers and a rookie.

Jay Cutler is on the block for those interested. We can swap draft picks.

Fairly sure I'm keeping RB Chris Johnson, WR Calvin Johnson, QB Kevin Kolb, and rookie RB Knowshon Moreno.

I also owe someone my first round pick. And I get one later in return. Believe me and Fazer traded. Have to find the old thread.
If theres any room, or a second league getting off the ground, I'd love to jump in.
Assuming jay f isn't taking his team back over, I'll be happy to defend my title SUCKAS.
I think as the champ you should get in regardless.
I'm in again.
I'd love to do it, but would rather not inherit somebody's terrible keeper team from last year. Are you guys starting fresh?

Keeper league won't. If there is a 2nd it would.

It's not a full keeper league, so inheriting a team isn't an issue. I inherited a last place team and won, but that's because there's pretty sizeable issues if you can't find 3-4 players worth keeping. I mean, there's worse things then going in to the draft knowing you already have Peyton Manning.
I'm back for more. Last year was very forgettable.

There is only one Peyton Manning though. Once you guys figure out who is not coming back and which teams can be taken over I would be interested in taking one of those teams. Or if some of you guys want to start from scratch, I'm in for that too. Or both.
If there is an opening I'll play, and beat you all. As long as we put some real money on it...

Now that's what I'm talkin' about. I've got an Abe Lincoln with your name on it...
I love Fantasy Football.

The Unrealistic Mofos went in as the top seed last year, and finished 3rd place. I had a shot at capturing that elusive bobble-head, which of course is not offered this year.

Please add me to the list of returning players.
I'm in for sure.
i'd like to join if a spot is available.
Sorry about joining the discussions late. I just registered the league and invites have been sent out to everyone who played last year.
I set the draft for a Sunday at 2pm EST. Let me know if this needs to be changed. I know we usualyl do it on a Monday night but this will keep us from being up till midnight on a work night drafting. Date is August 29
post #26 of 873
What's the keeper rules again? Two plus a rookie?

3 plus rookie
I assume we are listing the keepers in this thread.

If so:

QB Matt Schaub
WR Andre Johnson
TE Dallas Clark

Rookie: I have none to keep, so go ahead and put a worthless person, oopsImean player in that slot, like JaMarcus Russell.
We upgrading again? I'm in for the $8 or whatever if we are. I like the extra stats.
forgive me, but i forgot who i had on my team? can we get a rundown of last year's rosters?

And yes I am still in the league. I am ghosting on the boards, just not posting much.

go to the CHUD FF homepage. In line where it says Chud Fantasy Football VIII is a box that lets you see past seasons. Then find your team.

That or click on your team. Click on yahoo id. It gives you a list of past seasons to find your name.

Meaner Machine Keepers

Frank Gore (RB, SF)
Randy Moss (WR, NE)
Ben "Milledgeville High Life" Roethlisberger (QB, PIT)
Rookie: Jeremy Maclin (WR, PHL)

Draft Order based on last years finish

* first 6 picks is based on w/l record and total points
* last six picks is based on actual ranked finish

1. Fazer - signed in
2. Gio * here *
3. Daywalker * here *
4. Starving Dog - signed in
5. Wease
6. Savannah - signed in
--
7. Anya - signed in
8. Jason
9. Sammy Jankis * here *
10. Mofos - signed in
11. Martianman - signed in
12. Jack Lambert - signed in

We are only missing two people so far - Wease and Jason. I'll check in with Jason but I don't know how to find Wease.

If one or both don't come back, the order for new players is as follows:

1. Dickson
2. Dylan

Sorry to everyone else, but Chud old timers get first crack. There is a B-League though. I'm not sure who is running it since I gave it up.
I'll be in the B league given that any player with a damn is already in a keeper league..haha
post #35 of 873
We did have a trade from last year.

Wells and my fist pick next year for McNabb and his 5th pick. It's not just straight up.
So Fazer-I kinda hope you show up since while you can give me 5 players to choose from, I'd just get a random guy(or worse kicker) from your 5th overall pick.

Is there an official B league yet? I want in!

There is no extra this year. Yahoo! incorporated all those extra benefits into their main free league. It's all free now! However: No bobblehead prize!!!

Also, anyone can be a commissioner. If someone steps to the plate, they could start the B league pretty easily. I would do it but I am already a commish in too many leagues.
I need some training camp time before I announce my keepers. 2 of my spots are in constant flux right now.

I hear whispers of a B League.
I've never started a Fantasy league myself. But I will make one if no one comes forward.

You have until at least a week before the draft to name your keepers as far as I am concerned. If you already named yours and they get hurt, feel free to change them oiut. I won't make the moves on the site until the week before the draft

FYI, Jason is in so we are just waiting on Weese
post #41 of 873
I will keep LeSean McCoy, Miles Austin, Tom Brady, and Justin Forsett.
anya, im here just not posting much. I will be at the draft as well.

work has me all fucked up and out of the loop, but im getting back into the swing of things.
...
Keepers:
Phillip rivers, Greg Jennings, felix jones

Rookie:
Donald Brown
I am in

Keepers

Adrian Peterson
Jonathon Stewart
Larry Fitzgerald

No rookies to keep

The draft date as of now I can not make it's the 29th and I am out of town at a wedding. If it can be changed before the 25th of August or after Sept 2 that would be great.

Yeah, work is fucked for me right now as well, but I'm changing jobs on Aug. 9th, so with no travel and no downtown office to go to, hopefully life will straighten back up again. I'll post my keepers in a few weeks.
Are those the divisions? Or are we going to go 1, 3, 5, 7, 9, 11 from last year.
Ray Rice, Eli Manning, Antonio Gates and no rookies
post #49 of 873
What is with all you guys who didn't even bother taking a flyer on a rookie at the end of the season?
I might be willing to trade Forsett to one of you rookie-free folks. I think he's going to have a good year though, so serious offers only, please.
