Here you go, you sons of motherless goats!

Horrible.

I counted maybe three from films before 1970. That made me very sad.

Pretty sure everything Dietrich said in this one scene was delivered in a more insulting manner then most of that collection. Also BAR FIGHT.

Fantastic.

EDIT: Obviously a list it's stupid, but as a montage, it's delightful.
IN THE LOOP being in there three times is pretty great (could have used a few more frames of Capaldi running away), but SHORT CIRCUIT and BLADE TRINITY can fuck right off.
Oh shit, DOLEMITE. It had me at that. Then it threw In Bruges and In The Loop at me.
This reminded me of how much I hate "Cock Juggling Thundercunt!", and how much I love "You're an inanimate fucking object!".

As is that collection of rote, boring insults, 90% of which seem to be from the last 20 years.
I didn't think it was that bad. It had some lame ones, but like Tati said, it had Dolemite. Give it credit for that.

Aw snap.
Many of them aren't even insults. They're threats.

"Who designed these costumes? It looks like Edith Head puked, and that puke designed these costumes."

That's an insult.
You people are unbelievable.
Yeah, how dare we not flip for every shoddily made YouTube movie montage without a sense of cinematic history. Isn't it enough that we can recognize all these movies? Isn't that the point of it - to recognize something and feel validated by the ability to recognize?
I never claimed everyone should be flipping for it, you made that up. I'll use it to make my point though.

Taking great offense and attacking a Youtube montage is just as pathetic as flipping for it. This isn't going into the Library of Congress. Maybe relax and gain a little perspective. There are a few great lines in there I haven't thought about in years. I enjoyed seeing them again. Why is that so terrible?

(This is where you call me stupid, tell me to stop writing and don't address anything I posted.)
Eh... I have to agree that's a terrible montage.

You know WHY we say that? Because someone had to label it "100 GREATEST MOVIE INSULTS OF ALL TIME."

Keep an innocent title on it like "Great Movie Insults," sure. Have fun.

But with a title like that, you're inviting criticism.
With a title like that, I was hoping for some Drafts & Lists action.

1. "He looks like that guy from the movies, what's his name, Ralph Bellamy."
If you're going to make a list called "The 100 greatest movie insults of all time", you should probably find out what the word "insult" actually means. A bunch of these are threats and comebacks. And many of them suck.

This is just sad.

Just makes me want to go watch Glenngary Glenn Ross for the 80th time. God it's great to hear Jack Lemmon go to town in that scene. Everyone else it's expected, and while great, not nearly as surprising as Lemmon.

2. "Maybe poker's just not your game Ike. I know, how about a spelling contest."--Tombstone

Well, I liked it, if only because it provided a showcase for Paul Gleason's way with a slam. His delivery of "You're a gutless turd" is like a fuckin' shiv in the side.

'Greatest'? Probably not. Fun 10-minute diversion while I should be working? Sure.

1. "He looks like that guy from the movies, what's his name, Ralph Bellamy." - His Girl Friday
2. "Maybe poker's just not your game Ike. I know, how about a spelling contest." - Tombstone
3. "I've got all five senses plus I slept last night-- that puts me six up on the lot of you." - Brick
post #24 of 37
"MASSIVE-HOMO-CUNT"

It's all in the delivery.
Too many of them were just four-letter words strung together. They get points though for including Clark Griswold and Peter Capaldi. "Shut it, Love Actually."

I was thinking by insult they meant something like this:

"There are only two kinds of women in the world: mothers and the other kind. And sister, have I got you pegged." -- Kirk Douglas to Susan Hayward in Top Secret Affair, 1957
post #26 of 37
4. "It's amazing that brain can generate enough power to keep those legs moving." - Superman
post #27 of 37
5. "You are the son of a thousand fathers, every one a bastard, just like you!"-The Good, The Bad, and The Ugly
post #28 of 37
6. "You bastard." "Yes sir. In my case, an accident of birth. But you sir, you're a self-made man."
-Lee Marvin, The Professionals
Pesci: You know Spider, you're a fuckin mumblin stuttering little fuck, you know that?
It's interesting that the best insults in that montage are the ones that don't go overboard on the swearing.
That wasn't even the best insult from Dolemite.
Thanks for giving this a bump, if only for one reason...

What film is that clip with Keitel in the pink suit jacket from?
That's Get Shorty I think.
Oh cool, thanks. Haven't seen that since it came out.
7. "Not only would you sell your own mother to make a deal, you'd send her C.O.D."
"You should clone yourself . . . so you can go fuck yourself!"

I love the Sixth Day.
Arnold's delivery of that line is atrocious though.

I'd rather have seen Bill Duke's line from Commando, followed by Arnold's oh-so clever comeback...
"Fuck you, asshole!"
"Fuck you, asshole!"
