Singularity

So no threads on this one?
I
've been really enjoying this game. What I like most about it is that there's so much variety it rarely gets too dull. There's very little if any backtracking at all, it's fun to try out different powers and tactics on enemies, the environments have awesome designs, and you can blow off limbs and chunks off enemies.

It definitely has a Bioshock vibe but the gameplay just seems like more fun. The story isn't that great, but for a game that's mostly about shooting mutants/people it's pretty fun. The Time Manipulation Device is more of a tool than a focus of the gameplay. So it might be disappointing that you can only age/de-age certain objects and the gravity gun upgrade isn't as great as THE gravity gun. But aging has different effects on certain enemies (turn them into dust, unphase out of time, make them explode) and the Impulse attack just shreds enemies apart. Then there's the time dilation sphere that can slow down time so you can dodge bullets and freeze all your enemies and shoot them in the face and laugh. Oh and The Seeker gun. That was fun.

I don't know. I've just had fun with it. It's not the greatest game ever but it's a surprisingly solid game.

My buddy just told me all kinds of cool things about the time manipulator glove thing that you have. It sounds like Portal from the way he described it. With guns.

I'll check it out when I return Transformers.

Just had an absolute blast playing it over the weekend. The BioShock vibe is all over the place - but also hints and dabbles of Lost's Dharma Initiative.

It feels like it took too long to actually get the TMD and go fucking crazy on everything. But when you do it just hooks you as you unlock/uncover new uses for it during gameplay.

An outstanding game so far that has a lot of thoughtful touches rounding out the package.

This is arriving in the mail in a few days. I only found out about it recently because a number of websites have been pushing it. Activision seems not to have had much interest.

Was a 'so-so' game but elements really popped. Second the love for the seeker gun! I dug the videos and 'test footage'. Maybe if there were dialog choices, or if your decisions in the past impacted the future? I don't know, could have been really great but instead it was so-so. Not a fan of games on rails, if you know what I mean.
